The allure of Lake Havasu City is abundant with over one million visitors bringing in over $100 million dollars in revenue each year to Havasu's growing economy. With the London Bridge and the English Village sitting in the middle of a multimillion dollar resort and shop complex, it's no wonder that tourism is a huge drive to Lake Havasu City's economy. RETAIL SALES TAX
Arizona has a 5.6% state sales tax, exempting food and drugs. Mohave County imposes a 0.25% tax. Lake Havasu City imposes a 2% sales tax, a transient rental bed tax of 3%, and a 1% restaurant and bar tax.
*Note: Property tax in Arizona is based on assessed valuation, which is 10 percent of market value for residential property. Average tax rate on homes in Arizona before exemptions and rebates is 1.3% of market value.
COMMUNICATIONS
In addition to communication resources from the rest of the state, Lake Havasu City has a daily newspaper, Today’s News-Herald, several radio stations and television stations. Television stations are available through UHF, cable and satellite. There are several cellular phone companies available in addition to the local phone company.
FINANCIAL
There are several financial institutions with branch locations throughout Lake Havasu City. Further, Lake Havasu City businesses are eligible for assistance in financing fixed assets through the Finance and Administration Division, of the Arizona Department of Commerce. The Partnership for Economic Development also offers a Loan Enhancement program for qualifying businesses.

Lake Havasu City has a Municipal Airport.
INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES
The Central Business Park has approximately 20 acres remaining available for light manufacturing. Approximately 200 acres of city-owned property, adjoining the airport is undergoing master planning.

There are 32 hotels/motels/condos with approximately 1,989 units (includes short term apartment/condo rentals) numerous meeting facilities with capacities for up to 1,000. One convention center, several mobile home parks, and three campgrounds. |
